Jen Abene
Founder & Lead Event Planner
After growing up in Toms River, NJ, Jen studied Communications at the University of Pennsylvania. During this time, she worked at Philadelphia Style Magazine and contributed to the planning and execution of their annual Best of Style Party. It peaked her interest and triggered her to seek a profession in event planning. Jen graduated in 2007 and began working for a NYC event marketing agency where she produced events for liquor brands including Captain Morgan, Smirnoff and Johnnie Walker as well as events for Nike Running and Women's Training.
Five years later, Jen got married in Cape May, NJ and decided it was time to move away from the city and back to the shore. Jen continued to work in event marketing, helping brands like Pampers and Keuirg in product launch events and media stunts. In 2015, Jen left her full time job to focus on Shore to Please Weddings and starting her family. She now resides in Middletown, NJ with her husband, Mike, their three kids and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Zoey.
Kelly Fitzgerald
Founder & Lead Event Planner
Kelly spent her childhood at the shore in Toms River, NJ. She studied Math and Education at Monmouth University. After graduating in 2007, Kelly went back to teach at the high school in her hometown where she is currently inspiring and encouraging children to love Math.
Throughout those years, Kelly has helped to create, organize and produce many events including birthday parties and bridal showers for her friends and family. She plans many events at her school including proms, pageants and special events. She has a passion for creating unique and special moments for any event she plans for. Kelly currently resides in Toms River, NJ with her husband, Eddie...close to the shore, of course.
