Bachelorette Party (not so) Destination Ideas

The weather is warming up which means wedding season is upon us. With every wedding season comes bachelorette season! It seems as though what used to be a small intimate bachelorette party that brings the bride’s closest friends together has become a bachelorette weekend where the more the merrier is the new motto and an exotic location is always an option. As New Jersey Wedding Planners the common destination of our brides is Atlantic City or New York City. Both are exciting and fun places to celebrate the bride to be because they are easy to get to, have great restaurants and outstanding nightlife. If your looking for some destinations that are outside the box, but still local enough to stay within budget, here are a few suggestions that might be right up your alley and in your area!

Think of it as the Jersey Shore supersized! Ocean City Maryland is a great place to visit in the summer. People from all over visit their sandy beaches and booming boardwalk. The drive from New Jersey is less than four hours and that drive can be cut even shorter with a scenic trip on the Cape May Ferry. Book a room at one of the seaside hotels or rent a condo or beach house if you’re staying for more than a couple nights. You’ll love the seafood (who doesn’t love Maryland crab) and restaurant options. By day you and your girls get to work on your tans at the beach and by night you can dance at Seacrets. Seacrets is a bar/club located on the water for an all day party or all night party with a cocktail in your hand and your feet in the sand! Live music and a DJ blast music all night long along with cool island cocktails!

Are you and your girls wine lovers? The Renault Winery in Egg Harbor Township, NJ is a great place to learn, taste and stay! The Renault Winery located only a few miles from Atlantic City is actually one of the oldest operating wineries in the United States. Its vast history extends almost a century and a half old and has a lot to offer to all visitors that come through its doors. You and your girls can enjoy the beautiful grounds and take a wine tour which ends with a tasting of reds, whites and champagne. Then stroll across the street to the Tuscany House Hotel that serves gourmet dinner with perfect wine pairings to match! Enjoy your girls night then wake up to enjoy the rave reviewed champagne brunch served every weekend!

Red Bank is our little Hoboken to the south. It’s a "cool little town "with a variety of restaurants, shopping, bars and fun activities for your whole squad! You could rent a house or stay at the beautiful Oyster Point Hotel which overlooks the Navesink River. Walk around the charming town and pop in the stylish boutiques or enjoy a wine and cheese tasting at places like the Cheese Cave or the Tasting Room. If you and your friends are artistic or just like to have fun take a class at Pinot’s Palette where you drink and paint your very own masterpiece! Great new restaurants line the streets like Gotham. Gotham is a new restaurant that has interesting cocktails and delicious small plates with a social and inviting ambiance. You and your girls will love the proximity to the local beaches and it will be a bachelorette weekend to never forget!

If you are a Shore to Please follower, you probably already know that we love Cape May and all that it has to offer. Spend your day on the beach or rent a bike and take a ride to one of Cape May's wineries like the beautiful Willow Creek Winery. Go shopping along Washington Street Mall and check out one of Cape May's many BYOB restaurants for dinner. After dinner, head to the Rusty Nail, which was named one of America's top 10 beach bars by Travel & Leisure.

The Jersey Shore

If you grew up at the Jersey Shore like we did you know how much fun it can be by day and by night. The sand and the salt air makes it a popular destination for tourists every summer. It’s a great place for food and fun for the bridal party or the groomsmen or maybe even both! Renting a summer house for the week or weekend won’t set you back as much as you think if you’re splitting it amongst a bunch of people. Sites like Home Away or Air B&B are great places to start! Type in your budget, the amount of beds you need and search away! Or maybe one of your girls knows someone that will let you use their house for your short stay. Now, we know you maybe thinking that you’re not Snooki, but there are plenty of white sandy beaches all the way up the Jersey Shore Line. Some of our personal favorites are Manasquan, Belmar and Sea Girt. These beach towns have great nightlife like The Osprey in Manasquan or The Parker House in Sea Girt. Rent a house or stay at a friend’s and beach by day and then dance all night!

Wherever you choose to celebrate with your girlfriends, take lots of pictures and make lots of memories!
