Jenn & Marc's Mallard Island Wedding

Jenn & Marc’s April 2nd wedding took place at Mallard Island Yacht Club in Long Beach Island, NJ. We worked with the lovely couple beginning 7 months out from their wedding and really enjoyed getting to know Jenn, Marc and their family. They were so organized that it made our jobs easy! Today we’re reviewing some of our favorite details from the wedding. To see more photos from Jenn & Marc’s big day, visit our Facebook album.

Mallard Island

If you saw our previous post about Mallard Island, you already know how much we love this venue. The ladies had the day to get ready in the bridal suite (which you can easily get lost in) and the gentlemen weren’t forgotten as they got ready in the grooms shack.

The chapel at Mallard Island is one of our favorite things about it. It was a cold April day so the clear sides were kept down so the guests would stay warm, but still enjoy the breathtaking views. One of our favorite moments was during cocktail hour when Jenn & Marc snuck away for a private moment in the chapel to capture some intimate photos. It was peaceful and romantic with candles stills flickering.

Getting Ready

Jenn gifted her bridesmaids with gorgeous floral robes to get ready in. We love how pictures turn out when the bridesmaids are looking stylish in bright colors while getting ready! The best part is, they’re also comfortable. They also each carried their own monogrammed tote bag and water bottle for the day’s essentials.

While the ladies got ready and sipped on their champagne, they snapped Polaroid pictures to remember the moments. The ladies moved freely throughout the estate checking out how the flowers were coming along and getting a first peek of the wedding cake from Carlo’s Bakery aka the Cake Boss!

Flowers

MDS designed the flowers, centerpieces and Chuppa. We loved the pop of color that the orange and bright pink provided! After the flowers made it down the aisle they were arranged beautifully on the mantle of the fireplace where guests relaxed and socialized throughout the evening. Wherever you looked you could see accents of the floral designs on high top tables, the bar and all over the estate.

Anniversary Wine bottles

As a surprise to Marc, Jenn purchased a nice bottle of wine for them to enjoy on upcoming anniversaries. They were labeled with the anniversary year that Jenn & Marc will open and enjoy them and guests could sign the bottles themselves with messages for the happy couple.

To Have and To Hold in Case you get Cold

The pashmina rack was not only a nice gift to guests, but added a beautiful display of colors and patterns for guests to see as they walked into the chapel. You can find pashminas at a very reasonable rate online, so why not keep your guests comfortable and stylish!

The Ceremony

Marc’s sister was the officient for the ceremony. It was very personalized this way. The ceremony pulled in traditions from various faiths and with a “monologue” from another friend, was very intimate and personal.

The After Party

Since Jenn & Marc had the estate for the night, they hosted an after party! They brought in the Empanada Guy and a vintage ice cream cart from Rustic Drift for some amazing late night snacks. Guests continued to eat, drink and smoke cigars around the grounds of Mallard!
