Robin and Doug chose July 1st for their wedding to mark their 10th anniversary together. They spend a lot of time at the Jersey Shore as they have a second home in Pt Pleasant, so they chose to have their wedding in Asbury at the new Asbury Hotel.
Robin got ready at The Asbury while Doug was just across the way at The Berkeley Hotel. The couple ventured to the boardwalk area for a very special first look.

Guests stayed at The Berkeley and walked over for the wedding. With rain in the forecast and extremely high winds, the decision was made to move the ceremony from The Asbury Hotel’s rooftop into the ballroom. The divided ballroom created the perfect, intimate ceremony space for the couple and their 90 guests.

Following the ceremony, guests entered the venue’s pre-function space where they enjoyed delicious and created food from Marilyn Schlossbach Catering. Escort cards were placed over a bed of seaglass and when guests found their seat inside the ballroom there was a bag of seaglass candy waiting for them. The beautiful floral centerpieces were created by the talented Flowers by Melinda and the bride herself created the candles and jars surrounding them. We loved the color choice for the linens from Paul David Partywares, as it really tied the room together.

Guests danced to the tunes from DJ Sully and swapped their dancing shoes for flip flops provided by the couple. Everyone enjoyed the stationed food and the cake, which was from Chocolate Carrousel and decorated by Melinda.

Overall, it was a beautiful wedding and we loved our six months working with Robin and Doug. Robin is one of the most organized brides that we have worked with and she sure did teach us a thing or two about excel sheets ;-). We wish Robin and Doug the best of luck!
