Samantha & James' Wedding at The Mill

Samantha and James came to us just shy of two years prior to their wedding to hire us as their day of coordinators and we were so excited to be on board. Those two years were very eventful and after having the opportunity to get married on Good Morning America, Samantha and James decided to switch venues for their September 15th wedding. They ended up at The Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake and we are so glad they did!
As Samantha & James’ wedding got closer, Samantha came to us to assist with bringing her décor vision to life. She had such fun ideas for a rustic theme while incorporating some gold sparkle into it. She did an amazing job pulling it all together and we are so happy with how it came out!

Finally, the wedding day was here and it was a warm, September morning. The wedding party got ready at The Berkeley Hotel before heading out on a trolley for the first look in Asbury followed by photos at Allaire State Park. Something Blue by Susan Elizabeth captured all of the beautiful details throughout the day.
When the wedding party arrived at The Mill, they took some more photos and then hung out in The Mill’s newly renovated (and gorgeous) bridal suite while snacking on some delicious eats from The Mill (can you tell yet how much we love the renovations and new management at the Mill?!).

The ceremony took place in the venue’s garden. The bride created gold bottles to line the aisle with flowers from Flowers by Melinda throughout the space. The ceremony programs were on little brown bags filled with flower petals for guests to throw as the couple exited. During the ceremony, Samantha and James did a beer binding where they combined Guiness and Yuengling. They were married by the lovely Alisa Tongg who officiated the ceremony.

Cocktail hour was on the outside patio as well as on the inside, where The Mill has a new, open kitchen. The action stations included an Asian Wok station, Slider station, pizza station and pasta station….YUM! The couple placed mini board games around the space for guests to enjoy as they mingled. Upstairs was the reception where Sounds to Go had guests dancing the night away. The ballroom was decorated with lanterns and flower wreaths from Flowers By Melinda and next to the sweetheart table, Samantha & James’ dog even made an appearance (in the form of a life-size cardboard cutout!). Guests enjoyed the beautiful cake came from Chocolate Carrousel and an extensive ice cream bar with a live bananas foster station. On their way out of the reception they were surprised with the Strollo’s Lighthouse Italian ice truck!

We loved working with Samantha and James and getting to know them over the two years leading up to their wedding. They are such a generous, kind couple and we had such a fun day/night at their wedding! We wish them lots of happiness!
