Amanda & Joe's Ocean Place Wedding


The morning of Amanda and Joe’s wedding at The Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch was a rainy one. Luckily, it cleared up just in time for their first look on the beach! The couple chose to do a Great Gatsby theme for their wedding, which consisted of a beach ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour and ballroom reception. The day was captured beautifully by one of our favorites, the husband and wife team, Alex and Jay from Idalia Photography.

The ladies got ready in a room that overlooked the beach. They sipped on champagne as they got their hair done by Boho Salon and their makeup by Jen Caviedes. The bridesmaids were in different sequence dresses to go with the Gatsby theme. The first look on the beach provided the perfect backdrop.

Amanda and Joe wanted to incorporate their adorable dog, Mario, into the ceremony, so Mario got to do the honors of walking Amanda down the aisle. Following the beach ceremony everyone gathered on the patio for an 90’s themed cocktail hour. This brought back a lot of good memories for us! Twister, Connect Four, trolls, slap bracelets and some good 90’s music kept guests entertained as they mingled.

Inside the ballroom, Twenty Four Seven Events did the black tablecloths with gold runners, while Flowerful Events provided the perfect centerpieces for a Gatsby theme. Ocean Place’s chandeliers perfectly completed the look. Guests danced to music by So Watt Band, enjoyed great food and snapped photos in the photo booth.

Congrats to Amanda and Joe! We loved being part of their day at Ocean Place and thank you to all of the amazing vendors that we got to work with!
