When Judy and Jason first reached out to us we were immediately intrigued and excited about what they had planned. The couple currently resides in South Africa. The bride is from NJ, but after meeting the groom while on a business trip in the states, Judy took the leap and moved to South Africa in 2009 and they've been together ever since.
The couple was planning a trip to NJ and decided that they would surprise their family with an intimate wedding ceremony. Judy and Jason chose Daddy O's on LBI for their April 13th wedding, which turned out to be a beautiful, warm spring day.
The bride and groom did a first look on the beach before sneaking back up to their hotel room while guests arrived for what they thought was a family dinner. When their family and friends entered the venue, they were greeted with champagne and a personalized note, which told them what they were really there for. Watching the guests read their notes was such a fun experience for us.
At that point, the 15 guests were directed into the room where the ceremony was going to take place. A violinist from Sweet Harmony played as Judy walk down the aisle. The ceremony was intimate and beautiful.
Afterwards the family enjoyed dinner and drinks while catching up and celebrating. Mini wedding cakes, each decorated with a different style from Lil' Cutie Pops served as favors. We had such a fun time planning our first surprise wedding and it was so fun when we finally got to meet Judy & Jason in person after all of those months of talking on the phone! We wish them nothing but happiness. Congrats Judy & Jason!
