Georgia & Steve's Beach Wedding

We can’t believe it’s already been over a month since Georgia and Steve’s wedding day at Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, New Jersey.

The couple had a specific vision for their big day and we were excited to help bring it to life. The day began with the bridal party and groomsmen the getting ready at the hotel where they ate, drank and laughed all morning long. Georgia and Steve previously had a small wedding in Florida, but they were very excited for this larger wedding with all of their friends and family.

While they got ready we were busy in the ballroom setting up a reception room for over 200 guests. The bride loves pink so her linens were a bright and vibrant fuschia with a sparkling silver overlay all provided by the talented Twenty Four Seven Events. Large center pieces with crystals hanging from branches were the star of the show by Arcadia Floral Company. Georgia and Steve wanted her guests to feel like they were at the beach so their escort cards were shaped like beach badges and each guest headed to their table, named after a beach.

Once the ballroom was set up it was time to create the beautiful ceremony location. Georgia and Steve decided to get married on the beach at Ocean Place where guests could dig their toes in the sand and enjoy the gorgeous backdrop. Prior to the ceremony mini beach balls were placed under guests’ chairs and once they were announced husband and wife the guests were encouraged to throw the beach balls in the air as they returned down the aisle. The photographer, Nicole Detone, captured the moment perfectly!

Guests then enjoyed cocktails and small bites in a room overlooking the ocean prior to heading into the ballroom. The couple wanted their guests to have a unique, Shore experience, so instead of a photo booth they had two caricature artists for guests to get drawings from all night. They also had Naked Soul Band play all night and the dance floor was never empty, especially when they played some traditional Greek music.

When it was time for dessert the couple went all out! Guests enjoyed donuts from Broad St. Donut Company (one of our personal favorites), cotton candy, Rita’s Italian ice, a Viennese table and of course cake! Before each guest left they were given a fabulous bottle of rose with a golden starfish that couple special ordered from Greece! It was a perfect day in July!
