Kelly & Eddie's Wedding, Trump National Golf Club, Colts Neck, NJ

May 21st was one of the most beautiful weather days that we had this spring. I left my house on my way to Trump National Golf Club in Colts Neck to see my best friend and STP co-owner, Kelly, get married! I was playing more than one role that day and I loved it so much.

When I arrived I immediately started tearing up. It was so nice to know that Kelly found someone who makes her so happy and it was finally their turn to have their wedding day! I pulled it together of course and got to work in between sips of mimosas.

Kelly got ready at her venue, Trump National Golf Club in Colts Neck. It was the perfect place to get ready- so much space and a beautiful bridal suite. Make Me Up Eva and Top Knots by Aimee were the dream team working on makeup and hair for Kelly and her ladies. The golf course views from where we were getting ready were so pretty and it was also on the same level as the ballroom which was very helpful!

The vibe that morning was so relaxed, it felt great! Having Eva, Aimee and their teams handling hair and makeup was amazing. Everything went so smoothly and of course they stayed on schedule, which as wedding planners, is so helpful and important to us. It was a fun treat to get my hair and makeup done by them and I LOVED it. As you’ve seen from pictures, Kelly looked gorgeous. Both Eva and Aimee really nailed it!

Kelly and Eddie chose to do a first look before their private ceremony, that was captured beautifully by Jen Marvel Photography. I got to watch the first look with her family and it was such a special moment filled with emotion. I always love watching first looks and getting to watch my best friend do hers was something I was so glad to be a part of. After the first look and pictures we all took golf carts over to the ceremony space, which was taking place at the 19th hole.

The ceremony location was so unique. It was surrounded in part by water and looked back towards the rear of the venue. It was stunning! The alter was adorned with two pillars with beautiful arrangements from Flowers by Melinda on them. Kelly and Eddie chose to do a very small, private ceremony with just immediate family. They wrote their own vows and for the second time that day, I cried.

Following the ceremony, we made our way to cocktail hour which took place in the covered outdoor space in the back of the venue. Kelly dressed up the space by adding chandeliers under the awning from Ocean Tents. She added special touches throughout the space like greenery up the bar and a bar cart from Dovetail Vintage Rentals. Cocktail hour was full of delicious food and I especially enjoyed the (rather strong!) signature cocktail, a Spiked Arnold Palmer.

The reception took place in the ballroom, lined with large windows giving guests stunning views of the golf course. Dovetail Vintage Rentals set up a very unique lounge, giving the space a very personalized feel. One of my favorite details in that area was a board that Kelly made herself thanking all of her vendors. I loved this idea! Kelly’s tables were set with a mix of candelabras and colorful flower arrangements, all from the talented Flowers by Melinda team. The ballroom looked perfect! The final touch was the band: Clara Jordan Band from Hank Lane. It was my second night in a row with them and once again, they were awesome. It was nice to be a guest for their set because dancing to their music was so much fun!

Halfway into the reception Kelly swapped dresses for a more comfortable, glam, wedding gown. The yummy and pretty cake came from Chocolate Carousel and the venue provided a milkshake bar at the end of the evening. Overall, it was a wonderful day full of so many special memories for everyone involved. Kelly and I would like to say a very HUGE thank you to all of the extremely talented vendors who helped make her day run so smoothly.
